With Christ, I Have No Fear With Being A Conservative In A Society Full of Liberal Ideologies

Today is the Fourth of July, and to be honest, we should all be happy, thrilled, and thankful to be an American! The Declaration of Independence was the moment we declared our freedom, which should make everyone happy, but to some people, they hate this day. We have people protesting, we have people threatening to kill the president, slander the president, and attack anyone who supports the president, so as a conservative, this attitude can give anyone a headache.

As a conservative in these times, you must put your trust fully in Christ, for it is dirty out there. People will come after you just for upholding morals, but we shouldn’t be afraid for Christ is with us!

 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

With the thought of Jesus being on our side, we should not fear society or the world, so we must be bold in speaking the truth, which includes speaking out in support of conservative values. Though many people don’t like to get involved with politics, it is everyone’s civic duty to vote, which also means being informed. Therefore, in other words, you should care about your nation and what is going on!

As a Christian, we must also testify, and when you have politicians trying to promote ideas like abortion, we must stand against that for we know that all life has the right to live. In conclusion, being proactive is a form of standing on God’s principles, but so many people are afraid too, but why?

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”” Joshua 1:9

The Lord is with us through every storm and battle, so we should stand strong. We must be willing to stand against concepts, ideologies, and things that contradict God’s Word. Yes, you will be criticized, mocked, and debates will ensue, but the Word of God can shut down any argument in just one word, so why be afraid?

America was built on Christian principles. Just look at what John Adams said about the Constitution back in 1798.

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending
with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. . . . Our constitution
was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the
government of any other.” John Adam, The Works of John Adams Vol. IX, page 229, October 11, 1798

He was one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and our second president, and with his own words, we can see that America was built on Christian principles. The reasons people with liberal ideologies try to find loopholes in the Constitution or other interpretations, is because they cannot understand it for they have no moral compass! Adams said himself, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religion people,” so we must keep Christ first in our country and not let those who deny Him run our country into the ground.

“But I hate politics?” Though you may not be interested in politics or Capitol Hill, we must stand on God’s Word in everything! Just recently, a college in Oklahoma was forced to remove crosses from the Campus Chapel and a man destroyed the Ten Commandments monument on the grounds of the state Capitol in Arkansas, so we must continue to fight to keep God first in America, for people are in need of Jesus!

As you can see, people are lost, blind, and are in darkness! We must stand for Christian principles and morality, and though you may not like politics, you can still stand for godly principles.

“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 10:22

We will be hated for Christ’s name’s sake, but those who endure till the end will be saved! When we see that our society is against Christ, we must fight back for people need to see the truth. Therefore, I am not afraid of the world I live in for Christ is my strength! I am not ashamed of going against society’s beliefs, and I am not afraid to stand firm on the morals of Scripture.

We should al have this passion; a passion to defend the gospel! Whether it is with politics or in everyday life, we must uphold the Bible in all aspect of our lives; however, our nation is full of people who are against the Word of God, and they are trying their best to silence Jesus, which they won’t be able do, for you can never silence Jesus!

 “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

I know there are people out there who don’t want to stand up due to being afraid of what others may think or do, but that doesn’t matter. To live is Christ, and to die is to gain, so no matter what happens, as a child of God, you have nothing to lose on this earth, so be strong, be courageous, and never be ashamed! Don’t be afraid to be a conservative in a world full of liberal ideologies, because you never know who might end up accepting Christ due to you standing firm on the gospel!

  1. Hey friend! While I agree that it’s important to stand for God and respect leaders, it is also important to identify and speak up when conservative (and liberal) leaders are not Christlike when they claim to be, because that definitely happens on both sides. Just thought I would mention that 🙂
    I love how you gave a lot of reference verses for standing up for God in this post, always important!
